freelance terms of service

These terms are in place to ensure the satisfaction and enjoyable experience of both client and artist throughout the commissioning process. By commissioning me, you agree to my terms of service as they're listed here. Please read through these terms thoroughly before contacting me.➲ All prices listed are in USD.
➲ Payments plans can absolutely be worked out between myself and the client(s). Please mention in your initial message reaching out whether you would like to discuss payment methods that aren't entirely upfront.
➲ Paypal payments are preferred.
➲ I reserve the right to deny any commission for any reason I deem necessary. This includes a rude or entitled attitude from a client. This also includes if I feel I cannot complete a commission to a degree where I feel comfortable charging money for it. (Read: It's above my skill level, or I can't complete it in time.)
➲ I will not work for anyone who uses/trains/endorses/works with generative AI.
➲ I retain all commercial rights to all finished commissions unless the client and I arrange an additional charge where I transfer those rights to you.
➲ I reserve the right to post your finished commission on my social media and use it in my portfolio.
➲YOU MAY NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE MY ART IN AI IMAGE GENERATORS, TO TRAIN AI, OR FOR USE AS AN NFT. MY WORK MAY NOT BE USED TO PROMOTE GENERATIVE AI, NFT'S, AND/OR BITCOIN.

ALL VISUAL NOVEL BG LISTINGS ARE FOR STANDARD 1920 X 1080 DIMENSIONS (WITH PADDING IF REQUESTED). Longer "pan" shot backgrounds can be requested for an additional 40 USD.
Prices listed are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. Commercial prices are double the final price of each requested piece. (Example: an exterior city street with a day and night version would fall under "Exterior Urban" with the day/night add on. illustration commission process

  • You reach out me and, after discussing details and payment plans, I accept.

  • You provide a number of visual references and, if you please, written descriptions that you'd like me to keep in mind. Please include where other elements will be located in the framing, such as UI or stream overlay elements.

  • Aside: I love when a client feels like they're giving me too many references to look at; to me, that's just enough. Mood boards, photo-bashing, and other forms of visual references are extremely welcome.

  • I provide you a number of sketches dependent upon how complex the commission is. Because of how my workflow often has me doing both lineart and adding flat colors at the same time once I'm done sketching, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SUBMIT ANY MAJOR CHANGES TO THE PIECE.

  • I begin lineart and adding flat colors. Updates will be sent with each major chunk of progress made. THIS IS THE FINAL CHANCE TO SUBMIT MINOR CHANGES.

  • I add lighting and begin shading.

  • I add finishing touches, and, if the client is satisfied with that last update, the final commission is sent to the client.
